The
Mutsy
Urban Rider
is designed to meet all a parents needs. The system itself offers a
wide choice, as once you have selected your particular frame there
are number of options which can be fitted via an intelligent
click in mechanism its easy to a carry cot , seat unit or
even a
fun seat. And quickly transform a pram into a pushchair or attach a car
seat providing years of use.
The articulated steering system of the Mutsy Urban Rider
is an absolute dream and one of the better available on this type of
buggy. Combined with the 5 position telescopic handles makes the Urban
rider a very pleasurable pushchair to push.
As well as being easy to push the Mutsy
Urban Rider
also provides a smooth ride for its occupant thanks to a good
suspension system and the anti puncture pneumatic tyres on the race
bearing wheels which adds to the general smoothness of the ride.
The seat unit is suitable from 6 months and can be either front or rear
facing which is ideal for that all important eye to eye contact and if
required it does provide a lie back option. The seat itself has a dual
depth facility just to add to the child’s general comfort.
Once folded the stroller is self locking and if required can be left
free standing. If storage is an issue then the wheels can be quickly
released.
Storage is provided by a shopping basket in the base of the pushchair,
it does hold a reasonable number of items considering it has no sides
What is good about the Mutsy
Urban Rider
- It looks very stylish
- The steering system is great, but does
take a
little getting use too as it is the rear wheels, rather than the front
wheels which are used to steer
- The height adjustable handle is great
especially for parents or carers of differing heights
- Provides a smooth ride especially over
rougher terrain
And what could be better
- As you buy each part separately it could
become quite expensive if you where to buy all of the separate units
- It’s quite large when folded
and should be checked before purchasing if you have a car with a
smaller boot
- Seat needs to be removed before folding
Overall
Impression
The Mutsy Urban Rider
takes some beating when it comes to the steering mechanism on this
buggy and together with a good suspension provides a very comfortable
ride. However, it isn’t cheapest option on the market and if
you
decide to buy each individual part then it may become quite expensive.
