The
Mountain
Buggy Duo
is a great pushchair to manoeuvre in the city whilst its large wheels
and rear suspension make light work of rougher terrain without
compromising the smooth ride. The Duo is a slim line side by side
double pushchair with independent seats giving an overall width of
73cm’s and weight of 16.5 kg’s. It is suitable from
birth
up until the children are 5 years of age (approx 50kg).
As already mentioned the seats are independent of each other making the
Mountain
Buggy Duo
ideal for children of different ages. With this pushchair you could
have one seat fully reclined for a newborn whilst their elder brother
or sister can sit upright. For the added comfort of the children each
seat has its own hood with flip out sun visors and peek a boo flaps. In
addition to the seats being independent, you can also mix and match
them with a carry cot (purchased separately), providing you with full
flexibility as to how you use the stroller.
Considering this is a double, side by side pushchair it is still easy
to manoeuvre along the pavement which is helped both by its swivel
front wheels, which can be locked in place when travelling over rougher
terrain and the fact that for a double stroller the Mountain Buggy Duo
is slim at only 73cm’s wide. The handle is adjustable and is
constructed of ergonomic soft foam making the stroller comfortable to
push.
Both seats come with a 5 point safety harness which is padded for extra
comfort. There is a footbrake at the rear of the pushchair and when
folded the seat can be locked together to stop an unforeseen issues
occurring if the seat should accidently unfold.
The folding mechanism is an easy 2 step fold and when folded the seat
can be left in a compact standing position. If storage is still an
issue then the wheels can be quickly released to make more space.
For storage there is a mesh shopping basket provided in the base of the
stroller and a gear tray which can hold up to 5kg.

Impression
The Mountain
Buggy Duo is
an extremely manoeuvrable and slim line double buggy which is capable
of fitting through standard doorways. Whilst being so slim it still has
the capacity to hold a child until approximately the age of 5 years and
is versatile enough to provide a range of seating options particularly
for children of differing ages. It may be on the expensive side but if
you can afford it then the Mountain
Buggy Duo is definitely a pushchair worth considering.
