The
Inglesina
Zippy Free takes the well known features of the Inglesina
Zippy one step further. The Zippy free is a stroller which is
able to bring together both compact dimensions and technical
excellence. As the seat can be removed from the chassis, the Inglesina Zippy Free
becomes a fully fledged travel system with the addition of the carrycot
and the Huggy Multifix car seat.
Like many other Inglesina strollers it has an umbrella fold for ease
and compactness, its one action folding means it can be opened and
closed with just one hand.
Pushing the Zippy Free is made easier by the pivoting front wheels
which have a lock-unlock mechanism that when activated, automatically
reaches its optimum position. The wheels themselves are 18.5 cm in
diameter. The handles come with ergonomic grips, are adjustable to suit
your height and can be rotated to your preferred position.
The seat unit can be reclined up to 175 with a centralized control and
can be either forward or rear facing, the child’s comfort is
enhanced further as a result of the adjustable leg rest, which can be
set into 2 positions. To make fitting the seat more straightforward,
there are useful indicators to ease the fitting. There is also a double
handrail for facing both directions or if you wish this can be replaced
with a snack holding tray (sold separately), when the seat is in a
forward facing position. To keep your child warm a leg cover is
supplied which can be mounted with the seat facing either way
From a safety point of view the Inglesina
Zippy Free has an adjustable safety belt with 5 anchoring
points and for added comfort there is an adjustable crotch strap. Once
the brake on this pushchair is activated it automatically reaches its
position for extra safety.
On the Inglesina Zippy
Free the canopy is a feature all of its own, it is
removable and forward tilting for sun protection, if required it is
further extractable for even better protection and comes with a large
window in Krystal. The hood includes a zip so it can either be removed
or the rear part folded to allow better ventilation. If this
isn’t enough, a rain cover is also included
Storage isn’t a problem; there is a large pocket on the rear
of the canopy and a large shopping basket which is capable of holding
up to 3kg of goods. For holding you cup there’s even a cup
holder.

Impression
The Inglesina Zippy Free,
is a stroller that is packed with some great features, being based on
the successfully Inglesina Zippy was always going to give it a good
start, but now with the ability to switch the direction of the seat
quickly and easily it can only get better, together with features such
as adjustable/rotating handles and the braking system, gives you the
impression that what you have here is something a bit special. The only
downside is that it isn’t the lightest so this should be
considered before purchasing.
