The iCandy Cherry
is a newer, lighter version of the iCandy
Apple and is suitable from
birth, provided you get the carrycot to go along with it. It is a
lightweight pushchair weighing just 5.5kg, however, this is without the
seat unit which takes the weight up to 8kg. As well as the carrycot a Maxi
Cosi Cabriofix car seat can be added to the chassis to create
a
complete travel system (both sold separately).
The wheels are smaller than those on the Apple, however they are still
a good enough size so it will handle reasonably well on some rougher
terrains. The handle is a single comfortable to hold bar, allowing the
pushing of the pushchair to be an easier xperience
The iCandy Cherry
can be left
freestanding when folded making storage easier and has a compact
folding mechanism. When folded it is small enough to fit in the boot of
most cars and light enough to get in and out.
The multi recline seat can be both forward and rear facing and the
adjustable leg rest allows the stroller to fit your child perfectly,
the seat its self is suitable for infants rom approx 6 months of age.
The iCandy Cherry
can also be made into a pram with the additional purchase of the Cherry
carrycot
The pushchair comes with an extra large shopping basket and a zip
pocket in the back of the seat for you to store all your bits and bobs.
The shopping basket is easy to access when the seat is forward facing,
however it’s a little more difficult when the seat is rear
facing
or you’re using the Carrycot.
The iCandy Cherry
is available in five colours, Mulberry, Berry Blue, Liquorice,
Blackberry and Fudge
What's good about the iCandy
Cherry
•
Its lightweight, for a stroller which can also be converted into a
travel system
•
The advantages offered by having both a forward and rear facing seat
•
Can be left freestanding when folded making storage easier
•
It’s manoeuvrable and good for a around town as it
isn’t bulky
•
The soft-grip handle which
goes all the way across the rear of the stroller allowing it to be
handled easily with one
hand.
And what could be better
•
The shopping basket, whilst
being a good size is difficult to access when the seat is rear facing
or you
have the carrycot
attached
•
Whilst the handle bar is
easy to use it’s fixed so can’t be adjusted to suit
different heights
Overall
Impression
The iCandy Cherry
is a great
middle of the road stroller, whilst maybe not offering the luxury of
some prams, it does offer more than the standard lightweight pushchair
and is available for a reasonable price considering its market
positioning. It’s weight is going to be what draws many
parents
towards it as well as the possibility of using it as a travel system.
It’s easy to fold, get in and out of the car or on and off
public
transport. There are few negatives, the main one being the lack of
adjustable handles, something to consider if you and you’re
partner differ in height
