The
Hauck
Manhattan is the latest buggy within the Hauck
Pushchairs
range. It comes with both pram and pushchair modes and is thus suitable
from birth upto approximately 3 years of age
The Manhattan features a very clever seat unit which can double as a
carrycot. Simply release the straps under the seat unit to make a
carrycot together with the thick mattress provided, both of which can
be forward or rear facing. This is a particularly good idea if you are
short of space and may struggle to get a separate carrycot into your
car boot for example.
The Hauck Mahanttan weighs
11kg including the seat and wheels, is not the lightest pushchair
available on the market but certainly isn’t the heaviest and
even at this weight it is still very easy to push.
To convert the Hauck
Mahanttan into a full travel system requires a separate
purchase of the Hauck car seat which comes together with an Isofix
base. The car seat is suitable from birth to around 13kg.
To make manoeuvrability that bit easier the front wheels can be left to
swivel or locked in place and parents of differing heights can rest
assured as the handle can be adjusted to three different heights.
Another clever element to this pushchair is the brake unit which comes
with red and green indicators to tell you when the footbrake is on or
off. Other features include a removal bumper bar and 8 different
footrest positions when your child is sat upright

What is good about the Hauck

Overall Impression
The Hauck Manhattan
is an excellent and unique all in one pushchair at an exceptional
price, whilst retaining many of the features you’d expect to
find on a higher end model. Put this together with the clever seat/
carrycot unit and you have got yourself a great pushchair that will not
only save space but is still easy to steer, can be pushed one handed
and includes a bundle of additional features.
