The
Bugaboo
Gecko
is a pushchair for the parent who knows exactly what they are looking
for from a stroller. Available in three different colours, red, black
and green the gecko is the ultimate in mobile minimalism
This pushchair has only the essentials that you will need from a
stroller, intuitive functionality and a durable whilst still
lightweight aluminium frame. Like all Bugaboos range the Gecko is
designed for you and your child’s needs in nearly every
environment and is suitable from 0 to 4 years.
The seat unit can be forward or rear facing and has 3 seat positions.
The Gecko also works as a travel system with the Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix
car seat which is easy to attach. In addition there is a carrycot
included which attaches to the frame via Velcro straps.
The handle can be adjusted to change the position of the stroller,
meaning that it can be used on different terrain. So when in city mode
the smaller wheels are at the front, making it ideal for shopping and
when on rougher terrain such as off road and on the beach you can
switch it around and have the larger wheels at the front.
In addition to the carrycot the Bugaboo
Gecko also comes with a sun canopy, under seat bag,
mosquito net and rain cover
What we like about the Bugaboo

and durable
• Provides a smooth ride and is
very manoeuvrable
• Offers the option of being
used as a 3 in 1 travel system
• Decent under seat storage
• The reversible handle is great
And what could be better
• Like with most Bugaboo
strollers, the price
(approx £460) , its very expensive compared to most
pushchairs on the market, but it is
cheaper than
the Chameleon
• Its not the most compact when
folded down,
best to check it will fit into the boot of your car and
leave room for the shopping before
purchasing
• Difficult to fold down and you
need to remove the carrycot or seat first
Overall
Impression
Minimalism is a word which gets associated with the Bugaboo Gecko
a lot and it may be minimal in what it offers, but this
shouldn’t
detract from what a great pushchair this is. It maybe expensive, but it
is one of the cheapest pushchairs Bugaboo offer and for the price you
are still getting everything Bugaboo are famous for, a stylish
lightweight and durable pushchair, which offers your child a safe and
comfy ride.
