The
award winning Britax
Kidfix
is one of the most popular group 2/3 car seats available and its easy
to see why. It is a high back booster seat which is both a safe and
comfortable seat for your child. It weighs 8.5kg and is suitable for
children aged 4 -11.
The seat can be fixed into the car via the Isofix system which secures
the seat to the cars Isofix anchor points eliminating any margin of
error when installing the seat, or if your car doesn’t have
the
Isofix points, then it can also be secured via the cars own 3 point
seat belt.
The childs comfort has not been forgotten with the Britax Kidfix.
The seat belt guides correctly position the 3 point seat belt over the
childs lap and diagonally over the shoulders. The seat will grow with
your child as the height adjustable headrest has 11 positions. When
connected via the Isofix the Britax
Kidfix
can be reclined into several positions which is quite an usual feature
in a group 2 seat. The seat is well padded as are the armrests for
extra comfort.
From a safety point of view the seat has full side impact protection
with deep softly padded side wings to protect your child in the event
of an accident
The cover is washable
What’s good about the Britax
Kidfix
• The ability to fix the seat
using the Isofix anchor points without having to buy a separate base
unit
• The strap guides means your
child’s comfort isn’t disturbed
• The ability to recline the
seat if required (only when secured by the isofix)
• The 11 positions the headrest
can be adjusted
And what could be better
• A little on the heavy side
compared to others say the Maxi
Cosi Rodi XP
Overall
Impression
The Britax Kidfix is
one of the
most popular group 2/3 car seats you can buy. The ability to use the
Isofix anchor points without the need for a separate base is great and
the recline option is a bonus on this type of seat. Its comfortable and
the seat belt is guided in a way that the child’s comfort
isn’t disturbed. In addition to the comfort the seat has
plenty
of safety options. The only negative is the weight, which maybe worth
considering if you are likely to be moving the seat between cars.
Overall the Britax Kidfix
is certainly a seat that should be considered by anyone looking at
buying a group 2/3 car seat
