Finding
out your having twins can be quite a stressful experience at first as
well as expensive one, having to buy two of everything. Fortunately,
when it comes to purchasing a pushchair there are a number of options
available where only one purchase needs to be made
One of the leading makers of pushchairs is Maclaren’s who
provide pushchairs and strollers to suit all needs, and the needs of a
parent with twins are no exception. Each Maclaren Twin Stroller
which is currently avialble is of a double stroller type which
means the pushchairs are positioned side by side. However, they do have
a number of advantages over tandem strollers (front to back), including
the children having the same view, rather than one having to sit behind
the other, both children are able to be reclined at the same time, they
are less bulky when folded away, making storage a carrying much easier
and the wider footprint means they are a lot more stable.
With these advantages the only real disadvantage facing a Maclaren Twin stroller
would be its ability to fit through a doorway, however, this
isn’t a problem as both the models will fit through
a standard doorway.
So if your looking for a Maclaren
twin stroller what options are available to you. Well as
already mentioned there are currently two and both are a twin version
of popular single pushchairs, the Triumph and the Techno.
Of the two the Techno is slightly the heavier weighing 12.2 Kg against
the 10.6Kg, both strollers are suitable to carry the baby from birth
and have a weight capacity up to 30Kg.
As with any Maclaren pushchair each Maclaren twin stroller
comes with the standard Maclaren features, including a 5 point harness
for added security with height adjustable shoulder harnesses, compact
umbrella fold, water resistant hood and a washable seat which is also
removable. The front swivel wheels are lockable for full
manoeuvrability and the carry strap provide easy portability.
In addition to the standard Maclaren
twin stroller features the Triumph now comes with a newly
designed ergonomically optimised, foam insulated handles and the Argyle
pattern on the back of the hood.
Not to be left out, the Techno also has some recently added features
which include a larger UV protected viewing window, Hoodcaps and an all
black frame and fabric model.
